Kudos to the Presselite guys who put out the Bionic Eye app recently. They made Techcrunch another Tech media headlines.

I think they have a very innovative app, and love the direction they are innovating in. More apps should utilize the camera, compass, and GPS to make Augmented Reality a mainstream tool for consumers.

However, i think their design can use some sprucing up and that they might be a little bit ahead of the consumer curve here.

Parts of the Bionic Eye offering are similar to iPlacemarks, but just a lot more fancy and technology filled. We believe that the World War II design rule applies. K.I.S.S - Keep It Simple Stupid.
So we are building our solution for finding your favorite POI’s as simply as possible. 1 click buttons that route you to the closest location for your selected POI. It is done via the traditional and old school Google Maps
I tip my hat to Presselite and look forward to seeing whose strategy and product gains traction first
